Target is rebuilding its Sunnyvale
location (formerly a Montgomery Wards store) to better serve its guests. The new store will bring all of Target’s latest
merchandising strategies to The Sunnyvale Town Center.
The existing
store will be completely demolished. The
new store will be completely new.
The sales
floor will be elevated over street level parking. Additional
parking is provided in an adjacent parking structure across Taffe.
Access to
the Target Store is via escalators and elevators from street level and via
a pedestrian bridge across Taffe from the
parking structure.
Small shop
retail will be constructed on the street level fronting McKinley.
Exterior
materials include masonry, tile, glass and
architectural metal.
Street-scaping includes benches, pedestrian lighting and public art.
